- How do I pay for my course?Direct deposit or cash on the day. A $30 booking fee is required upfront to secure your position.
- How do I book a course?Please contact First 2 You First Aid to arrange a booking.
- If I don’t pass my practical on the first attempt will I receive another attempt to demonstrate competency?Yes. You will have opportunity to implement feedback from your trainer and refine technique. This is a competency based assessment which means you can have multiple attempts to be assessed as competent. However, if you are still unable to pass your practical you will not receive a Statement of Attainment.
- Can I complete training under the current covid-19 restrictions?Yes. This new approach to training allows individuals to complete the online component of training at their own pace, followed by a quick practical assessment with a trainer. In this current environment, we are taking actions to minimise the risk and this new program ticks all the boxes. First 2 You First Aid is hygiene safe and follows the covid safe plan for training.
- What is the youngest age you can attend a First Aid Course?There is no minimum age however we would not recommend the course for a child under 14 years old. If the child is under 14 years of age, it would be our recommendation that a responsible adult will be attending with the child. A physical requirement of our accredited courses is the ability to perform CPR uninterrupted for two minutes (on an adult and infant) and roll an adult into the recovery position whilst on your knees.
- I’m reading Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909. Who are they? What do they do?Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909 is an Australian Registered Training Organisation delivering a wide range of First Aid, Health and Safety qualifications. As an RTO, they adhere strictly to the requirements and guidelines of Australian Skills Qualification Authority (ASQA)’s Standards for RTOs. First 2 You First Aid has a partnership arrangement with Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909 and as such, all of our training and assessments are delivered on behalf of Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909 and are nationally recognised.
- What if I need to cancel my booking or I’m running late to a course?Students who provide 48 hours’ notice will be entitled to a full refund. Students who provide less than 24 hours’ notice will be required to pay 25% of the course to cover the cost of staff, assessment materials and equipment. If a student arrives more than 15 minutes late, they will be unable to partake in the remainder of the course, unless alternative arrangements have been made. Students will incur a $25 late fee to cover administrative costs
- What if I have underlying medical conditions or a disability?Please inform the instructor as early as possible (particularly when booking) so we can accommodate this.
- After completing the course, when will I receive my certificate?First 2 You First Aid ensures a fast turnaround. You will receive your certificate within one to two business days.
- Do you offer mobile training services?Yes. We deliver training at workplaces, sporting venues, childcare centres or even in the comfort of your own home! Whether you have a small or large group of people, take an advantage of this popular mobile service.
- What is a USI?USI stands for Unique Student Identification number. You will need to have a USI number in order to receive a certificate. A USI number will give you access to an online record of your nationally recognised training in the form of a USI Transcript. This can be used when applying for a job, seeking a credit transfer or demonstrating pre-requisites when undertaking further training. - What should I wear to the course?Comfortable, casual clothing is recommended as you will need to undertake activities such as bending, kneeling and lying on the floor.If a participant is unable to complete practical requirements, they will not be able to receive a Statement of Attainment.
- What is required for each training course?After you have completed enrolment, pre course study (if required) and assessment (online training) you then need to demonstrate practical competency in a face to face session. We encourage all participants to bring a notepad, pen and water bottle.
